  1. Katas Raj Temple in the Punjab Province: Katas Raj Temple is situated in the Chakwal district of Punjab in Pakistan. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple has existed before the days of Mahabharata and the Pandava brothers spent a substantial part of their exile here.
    It is said that the five Pandava brothers, heroes of the Historical epic Mahabharata, stayed here four out of the 14 years that they spent in exile. Its origin involves the death of Shiva’s wife Satti. When she died, Shiva cried so much and for so long, that his tears created two holy ponds – one at Pushkar in Ajmer, India, and the other at the Katas Raj Temple.
  2. Hinglaj Mandir or Nani Mandir, Hingol National Park, Baluchistan: An important Shakti Peeth of Goddess Sati, Hinglaj Mandir or Nani Mandir is situated in Hingol National Park in Baluchistan province of Pakistan. It came into existence when Lord Vishnu cut up Sati’s dead body into 52 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down and stop his Tandava. These pieces got scattered all over the Indian subcontinent whilst Sati’s head fell at Hingula or Hinglaj. According to ancient scriptures, Lord Rama had also meditated at Hinglaj to atone for his sin of ‘Brahmhatya’ – killing of Ravana who was a Brahmin and a great devotee of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.
  3. Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir in Karachi: This Hanuman temple is located near the Karachi Soldiers Bazaar and is almost 1500 years old. The specialty of this temple is that the idol is naturally formed – no human-made idol is worshipped here. The idol is white and blue in color and is about 8 feet tall. This temple survived the mass destruction during the Babri massacre.The Ancient Temple of Mari Indus: Situated on the banks of the Indus river, this temple is located in a historic town of the Mari Indus province of Pakistan. A visit to this temple will surely take you back to ancient times.
  4. Jagannath Mandir in Sialkot: This is comparatively a new temple, near the Paris Road area of Sialkot. Lord Jagannath is the prime deity here, who is worshipped as one of the “avtaars” of Vishnu. The roots of Lord Jagannath can be traced back to Orissa in India.
  5. Shri Varun Dev Mandir in Manora: This temple is a picturesque location for all those who want to enjoy a view of the sea. It is located in the Manora Cantt. right by the seashore. The temple is about 160 years old, and is dedicated to the Ocean God Varun Dev.
  6. Gorakhnath Temple in Peshawar:  This temple is historic in nature and is located in the city of Peshawar in Pakistan. The temple was recently reopened after six decades on the orders of the Peshawar High Court. (November 2011)
  7. Kalka Devi Cave in Sindh: This temple, located in Sindh, is said to be the place where Goddess Kali had appeared when she was journeying to Hinglaj in the province of Balochistan.
  8. Naval Mandir in Karachi: This famed temple is said to have mystical powers of bringing people back from the dead. The temple houses deities like Kali, Santoshi, Ganesha, Shiva, and even Guru Nanak.
